The Club Repair Specialist at The Golf Mart is responsible for promoting a store culture consistent with the company’s values and ensuring a positive customer experience through golf club repairs and modifications. Responsibilities: - Operate shop equipment safely by complying with workplace safety programs - Show accuracy in completing all order forms and repair tags - Measure lie & loft angles, club height, weight & shaft flex, and make adjustments based on customer needs - Repair broken clubheads and changing golf club shafts and grips - Demonstrate thorough knowledge of golf club-making and repair techniques, product features and their benefits - Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes - Operate general phone systems and basic computer applications Required Qualifications: - Demonstrate knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system; operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store - Demonstrate working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, Internet and order processing systems - Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching and kneeling and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds at any given time - Work varied hours/days as business dictates Preferred Qualifications: - Prior golf club repair experience is a plus, but not required (entry-level candidates are welcome to apply!) - Knowledge of golf equipment and shafts is preferred, but not required - Experience working in a shop environment and familiarity with basic power tools is preferred, but not required - Knowledge of retail operations is a plus, but not required Required Skills: Golf club repair, Golf club-making techniques, Shop equipment operation, POS register system, Word-processing software, Spreadsheet software, Inventory systems, Order processing systems, Basic power tools Benefits: Flexible scheduling, 401(k) matching, A strong employee discount for all part-time employees, Golf-specific learning opportunities, Hands-on training
