Job Description
Summary: Woodard & Curran is a national engineering, science, and operations firm focused on clean water and environmental issues. They are seeking a Water Treatment Technician to participate in the daily operations and maintenance of a facility that treats lake water, ensuring its quality for recreational use.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, making adjustments as necessary to control their operation
- Monitor, inspect and sample influent and effluent as required
- Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance and satisfaction of water quality project goals
- Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties
- Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintain all necessary records
- Perform general maintenance on plant equipment and maintain landscaping of the facility
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in water or wastewater utilities is a plus
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Valid Florida Driver's License required
- Class “B” CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check, DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment
- Must be computer literate and capable of working within databases, Microsoft Office and other project related software
