Wastewater Treatment Operator at Woodard & Curran in St. Charles, MO

Summary: Woodard & Curran is a national engineering, science, and operations firm focused on clean water and environmental issues. They are seeking a certified wastewater treatment operator to participate in the daily operations and maintenance of their wastewater treatment facility. Responsibilities: - Monitor water and wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, making adjustments as necessary to control their operation - Monitor remote pump stations with inspections and daily sampling as required - Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance with federal, state, and local regulations - Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties - Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintains all necessary records which entails data entry and report generation, including data for preparing the Monthly Operating Report - Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties - Participates in the daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility as directed by the Plant/Project Manager - Assists in the operation of assigned treatment, mechanical and electrical equipment and other similarly related facility components and equipment - Monitors and controls assigned tasks to ensure cost-effective service to meet budget - Coordinates to ensure that other facility employees follow established administrative, safety, and operating policies - Transporting biosolids to the landfill Required Qualifications: - High School Graduate or Equivalent, or technical/vocational school background - Valid State of MO Driver's License required - A Class A CDL is required - Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures - Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis - Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check and DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment Preferred Qualifications: - A valid State of Missouri Water or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license is preferred, or the ability to obtain a minimum of a Missouri DNR Class D wastewater certification as soon as possible Required Skills: Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation, SCADA Automation, Water Quality Sampling, Water Quality Testing, Water Quality Analysis, Preventive Maintenance, Maintenance Work Order Software, Missouri DNR Class D Wastewater Certification, Class A CDL Benefits: 401(k) Pre-tax or Roth Contributions: The company matches 100% of the first 3% of salary contributed, Observed holidays: Choose up to 8 holidays to observe annually, Vacation: Accrued based on years of experience and calculated on hours worked, Sick time: Paid sick time for non-work-related illness or injury., Parental leave: Up to 80 hours of Paid Parental Leave for child bonding, Disability: Paid short- and long-term disability, Health: Medical plan options; plus dental and vision plans., Life: Basic employee group life insurance and AD&D benefits; additional voluntary life insurance for employees and families is available through Sun Life., Wellbeing: DarioMind assistance program combined with personalized mental health and wellbeing resources.
