Intern, Logistics Operations at WM India in Sterling, VA

Summary: WM is North America’s largest comprehensive waste management environmental solutions provider, and they are seeking an intern for their Logistics Operations team. The internship is designed to provide real-world experience in key aspects of the business, allowing interns to contribute to meaningful projects while developing their professional skills. Responsibilities: - Uses problem solving skills, determines problems, and understand fundamental parts of the problem - Conducts analysis as directed, and prepares and delivers insights and recommendations based on analysis - Synthesizes findings and draws conclusions from analyses and makes oral/written recommendations to supervisor and/or manager - Executes tasks directly related to functional projects and/or process improvements - Communicates issues and roadblocks related to areas of responsibility - Expected to do 10-15% of travel in relation to work, typically, within a 50-mile radius; (no overnights) Required Qualifications: - Interns must have a High school diploma or GED (accredited) and be pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor's degree (accredited) in a field of study relevant to the internship Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; Power BI is a plus - Junior or Senior, (at minimum, completed Sophomore year of college) Required Skills: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word Important Skills: Microsoft Outlook, Power BI
