WinnCompanies is looking for a thorough and dedicated Helper C to join our team at Caroline Hedger Apartments, a 450-unit affordable senior housing property located in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for performing cleaning functions in homes and common areas. Please note that this is a union position and will eligible for benefits provided by the union. The pay for this role is $22.82 per hour. This opportunity offers the following work schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM. Additionally, the selected candidate will need to complete Local 1 Union training upon joining the team: this is a union position and will be eligible for benefits provided by the union. Responsibilities:

Responsible for the following, but not limited to: cleaning entire building including, bathrooms, community room, windows, walls, floors, stairwells, laundry rooms, elevators, and carpets; emptying trash cans; sweeping sidewalks; setting up hoses, raking lawns and flower beds, planting flowers, and installing mulch. Perform each cleaning function in accordance with the property’s prescribed daily schedule. Remove snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, driveways as needed. Clean vacant units. Perform other cleaning functions as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:

Less than 1 year of relevant work experience. Ability to understand spoken and written English. Ability to respond to requests in a timely and respectful manner. Ability to carry and maintain all cleaning supplies necessary for routine functions. Excellent customer service skills. Complete SEIU Local 1 – 10‑Week Janitorial Certification Program upon starting with WinnCompanies

Preferred Qualifications:
