General Application- Aerodynamics,… at WindWright · Sandusky
Job Description
WindWright, a subsidiary of Stratolaunch, accelerates hypersonic development by improving the capacity and capabilities of ground test facilities using digital engineering environments. Our advanced modeling and simulation, synthesized with ground and flight test data, are integrated into authoritative digital models that advance ground test productivity, accuracy, and repeatability improvements across the full customer development campaign. WindWright’s digital engineering framework also enables efficient test planning, rapid test data review, and deeper analysis of the test results, leading to reduced customer costs and risks.
Help advance the future of hypersonic testing.
The next generation of high-speed flight depends on our ability to model, test, and understand complex systems. At WindWright, a Stratolaunch company, we bring digital engineering and physical testing together to help accelerate hypersonic technology development.
Interested in contributing? We’d like to hear from you... even if we don’t currently have an opening that matches your background.
This general application is an opportunity to introduce yourself for future consideration across aerodynamics, controls, and digital engineering. Tell us what you do well, what challenges interest you, and how you’d like to contribute.
Where Your Experience Could Fit
We welcome interest from candidates with experience or education in one or more of the following areas:
-
Aerodynamics and Aerothermal Engineering: Computational fluid dynamics (CFD), high-speed flow analysis, heat transfer, wind tunnel testing, test planning, and comparison of simulation predictions with experimental results.
-
Controls and Instrumentation: Facility control systems, industrial automation, instrumentation, data acquisition, control software, system integration, and commissioning and troubleshooting of test equipment.
-
Digital Engineering and Software: Physics-based modeling and simulation, digital twins, engineering software development, data analysis and visualization, model validation, and integration of ground and flight test data.
These areas often overlap. If your background connects multiple disciplines—or brings a different perspective to these challenges—we encourage you to apply.
Why WindWright?
Our work connects engineering analysis with the practical demands of testing. That means opportunities to help improve how tests are planned, how facilities perform, and how results inform the next engineering decision.
We’re interested in people who want to understand how things work, ask thoughtful questions, and turn technical ideas into useful tools and reliable systems. Whether your strengths are in simulation, software, controls, or hands-on testing, your experience could contribute to the work ahead.
What We Value
-
Technical curiosity and a practical approach to solving problems.
-
Ownership, sound judgment, and follow-through.
-
Clear communication and collaboration across disciplines.
-
Attention to safety, quality, and the credibility of engineering results.
