Equity Research Intern - Summer 2027 at William Blair in Chicago, IL

Summary: William Blair is a premier global partnership specializing in investment analysis and equity research. The Equity Research Intern will assist analysts in researching industries, producing reports, and maintaining databases, while gaining valuable experience in financial analysis and investment strategies. Responsibilities: - Assist analysts and associates researching assigned industries with an emphasis on report production - Perform information gathering, financial analysis, and model creation; create charts/graphs/tables and appendices; and coordinate overall report production - Attend trade shows, conduct surveys, monitor competitive pricing, etc. Make field trips and prepare records and files to develop and maintain sources of information to assist in analysis activities - Maintain databases by formatting and submitting research information, estimates, and ratings - Participate in other projects as requested by management Required Qualifications: - Pursuing undergraduate bachelor's degree with anticipated graduation between December 2027 – June 2028 - High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) - Delivers clear, effective communication and takes responsibility for understanding others - Able to adapt to new tasks with little notice - Able to exercise independent judgment - Commits to satisfying internal and external customers - General understanding of accounting and finance - Proven ability to work in a team environment Preferred Qualifications: - Undergraduate major preferred: Accounting, Finance, but all majors welcomed - Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above preferred, but open to all applicants Required Skills: Microsoft Office Important Skills: Accounting, Finance Nice-to-Have Skills: Independent judgment Internship Start Date: Start in 2027 Summer
