Summary: Wieland Group is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. They are hiring an Engineering Intern for Summer 2026, responsible for projects in metals recycling and circularity, providing valuable experience in international business and manufacturing. Responsibilities: - Aid in the establishment of standards and policies for quality control, testing, operating procedures, inspections and maintenance of equipment in accordance with engineering principles and safety regulations - Complete an overall project that could be in one of the following areas; Shred-Sort, Furnace, Slagging, Casting, Packaging, Fume Treatment, Waste Water, etc - Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of Capital Projects that help drive key strategic business objectives - Learn about global and local copper circularity and metal recycling in a practical manner - Learn about business and corporations, and manufacturing Required Qualifications: - Pursuing bachelor's degree in Engineering, in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or an equivalent discipline - High School graduate or equivalent - Must be a Team Player and able to communicate effectively across all layers of the organization (corporate, metal purchasing, environmental, sustainability, plant management, laboratory, engineering, shop floor, yard, dock) - Strong interpersonal, cross-disciplinary, and cross-cultural communication and leadership skills are required - Excellent problem-solving skills and a practical “can-do” attitude are expected - Must want to work in “hands-on” situations and apply “book knowledge” and “logic” toward real-world solutions - Ability to work collaboratively in office, remote, and heavy manufacturing settings - Promotes the Wieland cultural vision for creating sustainable value – acting and deciding with transparency – through (i) freedom to act, (ii) #ownership of results, and (iii) casual intensity, i.e., the ability to interact casually without losing focus and momentum - Embodies the Wieland cultural values of #ambition, #respect, #reliability, #diversity, and #optimism - Ability to assimilate diverse data and make decisions - Good team member and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships - Self-motivator, eager to learn and grow Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and CAD Software is a plus Required Skills: Engineering principles, Quality control, Testing procedures, Equipment maintenance, Project planning, Project design, Project implementation, Metals recycling, Circular economy, Manufacturing, Microsoft Office, CAD software, Cross-disciplinary communication, Cross-cultural communication Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Work/Life Balance - Paid Holidays., Growth Opportunities - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
