Assembler & Equipment Operator, 2nd Shift at Wieland Group · Delaware

Summary: Wieland Group is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. They are hiring an Assembler/Equipment Operator responsible for machining and finishing components while ensuring quality standards are met. Responsibilities: - Follow production orders, company procedures and directions from supervisor, prepare parts and assemble components into assemblies - Successfully perform assembly operations by means of power tools or specialized equipment to produce pressure vessels and heat exchangers - Prepare parts for assembly by means of grinding, blasting, cutting of metals, etc - Execute assembly in accordance to company`s procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality and safety standards - Maintain equipment in proper functioning status by applying preventative maintenance as per instructions - Propose new methods, procedures, or equipment to improve efficiency and/or quality Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED Required - Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time - Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds - Ability to use standard hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, etc - Proactive in proposing solutions - Good verbal communication skills - Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques Required Skills: Use of hand tools, Use of power tools, Grinding, Blasting, Cutting metals, Preventative maintenance, Reading and interpreting detailed drawings, Measurement techniques Benefits: Benefits - Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!, Retirement Savings - 401(k) contribution + match., Work/Life Balance - Paid Vacation & Holidays., Growth Opportunities - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
