Sr. Enterprise Systems Administrator & Automation Engineer

Location: Whistle Express Headquarters

The Senior Enterprise Systems Administrator & Automation Engineer helps Whistle Express strengthen the systems, data, workflows, and automation routines that support Finance, Accounting, Operations, and other business teams.

This role partners closely with business leaders and system users to make enterprise platforms easier to use, better governed, and more connected to the way work actually gets done across a fast-paced, multi-site organization.

At this level, success is measured by whether NetSuite, Concur, Workday, AI tools, and other business applications help the company move faster, reduce rework, protect data quality, and give leaders more reliable visibility into the business.

What You'll Do

Enterprise Systems Partnership and Ownership

• Serve as the primary administrator, technical expert, and business partner for NetSuite, Concur, and other enterprise platforms.

• Translate business requirements into practical system configuration, including workflows, forms, roles, permissions, approval routing, dashboards, reports, and controls.

• Manage system releases, enhancements, testing, and change management activities.

• Maintain system documentation, governance standards, support procedures, and repeatable routines that make enterprise applications easier for leaders and users to understand and apply consistently.

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex system issues, data integrity concerns, configuration questions, and adoption barriers.

Business Process Automation and Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, reduce rework, and improve consistency through system configuration, workflow automation, and AI-enabled solutions.

• Design and implement automated business processes that support Finance, HR, Operations, Procurement, Accounting, and other teams with practical, scalable execution.

• Partner with leaders to streamline high-volume workflows, including:

• Expense management

• AP and AR workflows

• Approval processes

• Vendor management

• Employee reimbursement processes

• Financial close activities

• Measure and communicate productivity gains, adoption progress, and business impact from automation initiatives.

NetSuite, Concur, and Workflow Optimization

• Own system performance, configuration, workflow design, and user experience improvements.

• Design scalable approval structures and business rules.

• Optimize reporting, dashboards, saved searches, and analytics capabilities.

• Improve spend visibility, compliance controls, and financial reporting.

• Partner with Accounting and Finance to maximize ERP capabilities, improve controls, and reduce manual processing without adding unnecessary complexity.

Integrations, Data Governance, and Controls

• Manage relationships and data flows between enterprise systems and third-party platforms.

• Coordinate integration design, testing, and troubleshooting.

• Ensure data consistency and integrity across business systems.

• Build data governance practices, validation controls, and documentation that protect confidence in reporting and decision-making.

• Support API integrations, middleware solutions, and vendor troubleshooting as needed.

Reporting, Analytics, and Decision Support

• Design dashboards and reporting solutions that give leaders clear, actionable visibility into business performance.

• Develop KPIs and system-based reporting routines that help leaders understand trends, risks, and opportunities earlier.

• Improve visibility into spending, labor, site performance, and business trends.

• Partner with leadership to create scalable reporting frameworks that connect data to practical business action.

Cross-Functional Partnership and Change Adoption

• Serve as the bridge between business teams, technology partners, vendors, and system users.

• Translate operational and finance requirements into technical solutions.

• Lead discovery sessions, process reviews, testing routines, and rollout planning for system enhancements.

• Train users, reinforce adoption, and build tools that make new capabilities easier to understand and use consistently.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of progressive enterprise business systems administration, business applications, or systems operations experience.

• Deep hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP required.

• Strong Concur administration experience required.

• Experience translating business needs into system configuration, workflow automation, reporting, and process improvement.

• Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, HR, Operations, Procurement, or other cross-functional business teams.

• Proven ability to implement system enhancements, manage change, train users, and improve adoption in a fast-paced environment.

Base Pay Range

$81,800.00 - $146,100.00
