Assistant Accountant
Westgold Resources is shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia. We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team who shares our vision of building a sustainable and profitable major Australian gold business.
Support month‑end, assets and reporting in a corporate finance team at our Perth Head Office. Permanent full‑time opportunity.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Business Partner – Finance, this role supports corporate accounting activities including month‑end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, asset management, and audit support. It’s a great opportunity for an Assistant Accountant looking to grow within a structured corporate finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Month‑end and year‑end support including journals and reconciliations
Fixed asset and inventory accounting
Audit, compliance, BAS and tax support
Accounts receivable and intercompany invoicing
Variance analysis and reporting support
What We’re Looking For
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
CPA/CA qualified or studying towards
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (mining experience preferred)
Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
ERP system experience (Pronto desirable)
