Job Description
Summary: West Star Aviation Inc. is a leading independent Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) provider with over 78 years of industry experience. They are seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with the preparation of engineering drawings and the maintenance of the department’s 3D printer, while working on various projects under the guidance of the Engineering Program Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and submitting engineering drawings and illustrations on CAD software
- Maintaining the departmental 3D printer
- Work independently on projects as assigned
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
- Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year completed in Engineering or related technical course work
- Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- We're looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common
- Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments
- Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work
- You must have reliable transportation to get to work each day
- Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits
- Lift at least 50 lbs
- Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting
- Routing or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands
- Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines
- Exercise good judgment in determining activities and tasks, as needed, to properly complete assignments
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in reading/researching aircraft technical data, as required, (Practical Exam to be given)
Preferred Qualifications:
- AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks or related CAD software experience preferable (including CAD coursework)
- Experience with aircraft maintenance and repair helpful
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not required
