Summary: West Star Aviation is a maintenance, repair and overhaul provider serving the aviation industry. The Aircraft Records Analyst reviews current and historical aircraft maintenance records, researches discrepancies, and enters and maintains tracking data in databases. The role also supports quality control functions, FAA documentation, customer communication, and departmental administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform aircraft records research and evaluation by reviewing current and historical records
- Relay each project status/research discrepancies to the Team Leader and Inspector
- Create, enter and update data into database tracking systems for each aircraft
- Work with customers and other facilities to collect necessary data and other tracking systems
- Assist in support of other Quality Control functions as required
- Update and completion of FAA forms or records as required
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
- Additional duties as needed by Chief Inspector
- Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments
- Able to travel, work weekends, overtime, and any shift as required
- Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day
- Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits
- Lift at least 25lbs
- Routine walking, bending and sitting
- Sit at a desk and/or computer for extended intervals
- Walk short distances routinely
- Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands
- Basic personal computer operations
- Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines
- Work with others in a professional manner
- Prioritize and control workload
- Understand/implement systematic changes to existing processes
- Proficiency in technical data relating to aircraft maintenance and modifications
Required Qualifications:
- A High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Office, required
- 1+ years of data entry required

- This person will need to have strong attention to detail, be well organized and able to prioritize workload efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year database maintenance preferred
- 1 year of record management preferred
- 1 year of customer service experience preferred
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory
- 1-2 years of Foreign Language helpful (German, Spanish, French, Portuguese)
