Summary: West Star Aviation Inc. is a leading independent Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) provider with over 78 years of industry experience. They are seeking an Aerospace Engineering Intern to assist in creating engineering drawings, maintaining a 3D printer, and supporting various engineering projects under the guidance of the Engineering Program Manager. Responsibilities: - Creating and submitting engineering drawings and illustrations on CAD software - Maintaining the departmental 3D printer - Work independently on projects as assigned - Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager - Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language - Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - One year completed in Engineering or related technical course work - Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language - AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks or related CAD software experience preferable (including CAD coursework) - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Experience with aircraft maintenance and repair helpful - Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments - Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work - You must have reliable transportation to get to work each day - Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines - Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties - Maintain customer-oriented work habits - Lift at least 50 lbs - Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting - Routing or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands - Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines - Exercise good judgment in determining activities and tasks, as needed, to properly complete assignments - Possess strong organizational and time management skills - Proficiency in reading/researching aircraft technical data, as required, (Practical Exam to be given) Preferred Qualifications: - A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not required Required Skills: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CAD software, 3D printer maintenance, Microsoft Office Suite, Aircraft maintenance, FAA regulations Benefits: Medical, dental, 401K match, time off accruals, weekly pay days and much more
