Job Description
Summary: Wesa Automation is a leading provider of engineering and automation solutions, dedicated to driving innovation across various industries. They are seeking a Panel Builder who will be responsible for assembling and wiring panels for PLC controls and ensuring quality through inspection and testing. This role offers opportunities for growth within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Read electrical and control schematics and assemble and wire panels to specification for PLC controls, operator consoles, variable speed drives, motor controls, and/or pneumatic controls
- Inspect and test completed panels
- Maintain equipment and tools in a neat, clean, and efficient work area
- Work with shop manager to schedule and prioritize tasks
- Occasionally support installations at local customer facilities
Required Qualifications:
- Availability during core hours of shop operation, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (some flexibility available)
- Formal electrical training or demonstrated on-the-job experience in the electrical field
- Demonstrated mechanical ability
- Knowledge of proper and safe use of hand tools and small power tools
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and dependability
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be safety conscious
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds; some lifting may be required from knee to shoulder height or other levels
- Ability to carry and transport up to 60 pounds for short distances (up to 20 feet)
- Role requires periods of standing and moving, including stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling
- Work may take place in varied environments that can be cold, hot, noisy, or wet, and may include exposure to odors or fumes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous panel building experience preferred (willing to train a motivated candidate)
- Familiarity with NEC, UL, and/or CSA codes preferred
