Summary: Werfen North America is a growing, family-owned company and a worldwide leader in specialized diagnostics. The internship aims to provide students with hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis, including involvement in projects that touch multiple departments and day-to-day financial activities. Responsibilities: - The Intern will be assigned a short-term project that they will develop and present alongside the hiring manager to business partners - This project will be hands on, touch multiple departments, and allow for a condensed experience of FP&A - Possible projects: Financial forecast improvements, financial package design overhaul, product line reporting, and Sales KPI tracking improvements - The Intern will also be involved in the day-to-day activities of the team, including financial forecasting, excel modeling, participation in the monthly financial package, ad-hoc financial analysis, & communication with directors & VPs on their financial metrics - Analyze financial statements, sales reports, & service logs - Assist in creating & designing reports that will be utilized by business partners - Analysis skills for large data sets using excel to develop insights into the business - Assist in forecasting, modeling, & financial analysis Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing B.S. in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field with a minimum of 2 college semesters complete - Minimum 3.0 GPA desired - Requires confidence in using Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint & Word - Requires Enthusiasm, motivation, initiative and ability to work within an interactive and energetic workplace - Ability to multitask - Analyze financial statements, sales reports, & service logs - Assist in creating & designing reports that will be utilized by business partners - Analysis skills for large data sets using excel to develop insights into the business - Assist in forecasting, modeling, & financial analysis Required Skills: Financial analysis, Excel modeling Important Skills: Microsoft Office, Data analysis Nice-to-Have Skills: Multitasking
