Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant
The Lead Business Execution Consultant, Vice President, is a critical senior level individual contributor role within CIB COO Business Support Services. Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking, commercial real estate lending and servicing, investment banking, equity and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.
As the Lead Business Execution Consultant within CIB COO Business Support Services, you will be responsible for driving Transformation, Automation and Optimization agenda for Wells Fargo CIB.
The role requires deep domain expertise combined with strong transformation, technology enablement, and automation skills. The incumbent will act as a thought leader, solution architect, and trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing roadmap decisions without formal people management responsibility.
In this role, you will:
Strategy, Transformation & Automation
Lead end‑to‑end transformation initiatives across business and operational processes
Design and execute transformation roadmaps aligned with CIB strategy and business objectives
Identify process inefficiencies, control gaps, and risk areas; redesign workflows for simplicity, scalability, and resilience
Partner with business and technology teams to architect scalable, secure, and future‑ready automation solutions
Understanding of AI frameworks, associated risks and benefits
Lead proof‑of‑concepts, pilots, and enterprise rollouts for automation and digital tools
Ensure automation initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes and risk reduction
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Embed governance, controls, and compliance requirements into transformed and automated processes
Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and Technology teams to align transformation initiatives with enterprise policies
Define success metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor performance, controls effectiveness, and sustainability
Support regulatory, audit, and internal assurance activities as a process and transformation subject‑matter expert
Stakeholder Management & Executive Advisory
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across business and functional teams
Influence decision‑making through data‑driven insights, business cases, and executive‑level storytelling
Translate complex processes, risk, and technology concepts into clear business value propositions
Drive cross‑functional alignment and adoption in matrixed, global environments
Introduce innovative approaches to continuously improve speed, quality, control, and customer experience
Essential Qualifications:
5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5-8 yrs of experience in process transformation, operational excellence, automation, or digital enablement
Proven track record of leading large‑scale, cross‑functional transformation initiatives
Strong understanding of end‑to‑end process design, controls, and performance management
Hands‑on experience with automation technologies, workflow platforms, or analytics solutions
Ability to operate at an executive level as a senior individual contributor
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, Agile, AI or similar frameworks
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and solution‑design capabilities
Excellent executive communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
Relevant certifications (Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, Digital Transformation, etc.) are a plus
