In this role, you will:
Participate in Trader daily activities, executing trades, supporting client accounts, and identify opportunity for researching and correcting trade, risk and compliance issues within Wells Fargo Securities
Review and maintain basic credit and prospectus files, manage phone traffic, complete trade tickets, update daily offering sheets, and exercise independent judgment to guide research and corrections
Review security trading and documentation for regulatory compliance
Report new and innovative products via market trends
Present recommendations for resolving customer requests, provide a quick overview of buyers and sellers information, and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the operations and trading function
Collaborate and consult with peers, traders, risk, compliance, and manager, including internal and external customers
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with and supporting Trading Desks
Ability to multitask, perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while having a strong attention to detail
Strong written and oral communications skills, a desire and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners, and willingness to travel to visit with issuing and investing clients
Strong analytical skills and an understanding of all SPG products
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, or related field
Job Expectations:
Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 7 (or 79) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 52 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
