About The Company

Dubai-based metalwork contractor. We fabricate and install perimeter fencing, balustrades, gates, steel planters, shade structures, bollards and metal edging for hospitality and residential developments across the UAE. We work with main contractors and landscape consultants, and we fabricate everything in-house at our Jebel Ali facility.

The Role

We need one person to run our accounts and support our estimating and project costing. The accounting is the larger part of the job. You will keep our books in Zoho, handle VAT and corporate tax filings, and manage the payables, receivables and petty cash. The rest of your time goes to quantity surveying: handling suppliers, preparation of LPOs and payment recommendation & tracking project costs against what we quoted.

Accounting Responsibilities

• Maintain the full set of books in Zoho Books, including daily entries, bank reconciliations and month-end closing
• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly UAE VAT returns with the FTA
• Prepare corporate tax computations and support the annual filing
• Manage accounts payable: supplier invoices, payment runs, statement reconciliations
• Manage accounts receivable: client invoicing, payment follow-up, ageing reports
• Handle day-to-day petty cash, with vouchers and receipts fully documented
• Prepare management reports, and provide schedules and records to our auditors
• Keep VAT and tax documentation compliant and audit-ready

Quantity Surveying Responsibilities

• Build cost estimates and support quotation preparation in AED
• Prepare interim payment applications and variation claims
• Track actual project costs against quoted rates and report margin
• Review subcontract documents and rate schedules against our quotations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
• 3 or more years of UAE accounting experience, with hands-on Zoho Books
• Solid working knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax law
• Ability to read construction drawings and prepare quantity take-offs
• Strong Excel skills
• Good written and spoken English

Preferred

• Experience in construction, fabrication, steel or metalwork
• Familiarity with subcontract payment applications and retention
• Arabic is helpful but not required
