Job Description
Summary: Weis Builders is a premier construction company with over 85 years of delivering high-quality projects that make a lasting impact on communities. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will dive into real-world projects in the construction industry, gaining experience in estimating, project management, and field operations while building relationships with subcontractors and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in exciting projects, helping ensure they are completed on or ahead of schedule and on or under budget
- Assist in writing and negotiating contracts and change orders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project partners
- Contribute to the development and management of production schedules
- Support the project team in delivering a final product that delights clients and exceeds expectations
- Learn and implement best practices in the construction industry through real-world challenges
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a similar construction program
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A desire to take initiative, problem-solve, and contribute to successful project outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous industry experience is a plus, but not required
