Job Description
Summary: Wealth Enhancement is an independent wealth management firm dedicated to enriching the lives of clients through personalized financial planning. The Compliance Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience in policy development, compliance operations, and risk management, supporting the compliance team in various operational tasks and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with updating written policies and procedures, including documenting operational practices and regulatory expectations
- Scribe and organize procedure drafts to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with compliance standards
- Contribute to maintaining the organization’s policy manual and support enhancements tied to regulatory or operational changes
- Support risk assessments by gathering data, reviewing controls, and helping summarize findings for leadership
- Help prepare for audits by validating controls, reviewing documentation, and ensuring required materials are up to date
- Conduct regulatory research and distill key points into concise, actionable summaries for the compliance team
- Create process maps to visualize workflows and identify potential efficiency or compliance gaps
- Support documentation efforts related to the organization’s system migration, including updates to client file processes following acquisition
- Assist with identifying workflow improvements that enhance consistency, accuracy, and regulatory adherence across compliance operations
- Engage with compliance leaders and trust company managers to support ongoing projects through daily or regular interactions
- Collaborate with team members to share ideas, ask questions, and contribute to a supportive and knowledge‑sharing team culture
- Take part in hands‑on learning that strengthens understanding of compliance, operations, and risk management within a highly regulated environment
Required Qualifications:
- Must be actively enrolled in a college or university degree program to be eligible for an internship. Candidates who have already graduated or will graduate before the start of the summer intern program are not eligible
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with people at all levels of the organization
- Detail oriented, highly organized and adaptable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferably Pursuing bachelor's in pre-law or related degree
- Preferably students between their junior and senior years
