Job Description
Summary: Wealth Enhancement is an independent wealth management firm dedicated to enriching the lives of its clients. The Financial Planning Intern will gain practical experience in financial planning and analysis by supporting Financial Planners in creating customized financial plans and enhancing their understanding of financial planning processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Financial Planner with the creation of customized financial plans
- Organize client’s financial documentation and information as necessary
- Provide an accurate summary of clients’ personal information, current financial position, and asset allocation
- Review and summarize basic insurance details
- Review and summarize basis estate plan details
- Review and summarize key tax returns details
- Create financial planning reports/analyses utilizing MoneyGuide Pro, eMoney, Morningstar and other planning tools
- Record notes in SalesForce regarding client communications, inquiries, and actions related to the planning request as necessary
- Assist with the completion of the financial plan document
- Support Advanced Planning with the creation and/or maintenance of Advisor and Client resources
- Capture resource requirements and details as identified by Advanced Planning Team/Specialist
- Research and identify necessary data for inclusion in identified resource
- Format appropriately for review by Advanced Planning Team/Specialist
- Support Advanced Planning with team/company initiatives and projects as identified and assigned
- Participate in a collaborative Team environment
- Provide timely responses to questions
- Contribute positively to problem-solving
Required Qualifications:
- Must be actively enrolled in a college or university degree program to be eligible for an internship. Candidates who have already graduated or will graduate before the start of the summer intern program are not eligible
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with people at all levels of the organization
- Detail oriented, highly organized and adaptable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferably pursuing bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field
- Preferred candidates are rising juniors who are currently pursuing, or plan to pursue, the CFP designation
