Summary: Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the world's most trusted driver. The role involves designing, developing, modifying, and testing software for self-driving vehicle applications, focusing on data generation, infrastructure reliability, and collaboration with various teams. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, modify, and/or test software needed for various state-of-the-art self-driving vehicle applications and related products at Waymo - Develop infrastructure and frameworks for generating reliable, high quality data for foundation models - Deploy and maintain end-to-end data pipelines that deliver the foundation model data - Curate and deliver data sets, for both nominal and rare instances, that support the diverse ML tasks for foundation models - Collaborate with foundation model, Perception evaluation, and ML infrastructure teams to integrate data generation into model training and evaluation frameworks; and - Collaborate with production teams to deploy foundation models in deployment settings; and Responsible for infrastructure reliability, data availability, and data quality Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation - C++ and Python experience - Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Beam, and Google Cloud Dataflow - Experience with AWS Data Pipeline or Faiss - Experience in ML data engineering, data pipelines, data curation, and data balancing Required Skills: C++, Python, Apache Spark, Apache Beam, Google Cloud Dataflow, AWS Data Pipeline, Faiss, Machine Learning data engineering, Data pipelines, Data curation, Data balancing Benefits: Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, Equity incentive plan, Generous Company benefits program
