2026 Investment Sales Intern at Walker & Dunlop in Portland, OR

They are seeking a 2026 Investment Sales Intern to assist with financial analysis, research, and marketing efforts within the multifamily investment sales sector. Responsibilities: - Financial analysis of multifamily opportunities, including existing, value add, and ground-up developments using proprietary WDIS underwriting model - Actively assist in the research, writing, and proofing of W&D Investment Sales marketing offering memorandums (OMs) and Broker Opinion of Values (BOVs) Research and maintain databases which track Investment Sales activity, construction pipeline, and other relevant real estate metrics - Develop and maintain market knowledge through regular reading of industry trade journals, economic forecasts, and news-related periodicals - Assist in the creation and editing of 'state of the market' presentations given at national conferences and in private client meetings - Maintain files to ensure all mandatory disclosures are completed and sent to the appropriate parties for review and approval - Provide a consistent, quality-controlled system to ensure the smooth and efficient management of all relevant steps necessary to close a deal - Monitor and assess the progress of sales so that important deadlines are met and contingencies are released - Provide preliminary audits of files for management review - Other responsibilities and duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Must be enrolled full-time and pursuing a bachelor's degree in an undergraduate program at an accredited university - Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S - Must be able to commit to the 10 week program beginning June 1st and ending August 7th - Have a passion for learning about commercial real estate - Be a team player and self-starter - Have strong communication skills and personal drive - Be willing to do what it takes to contribute to the bottom line - Strong attention to detail - Developed organizational and time management skills - Demonstrated analytical skills - Demonstrated professional maturity - Ability to take initiative and work independently - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint - Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes - Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: - Relevant work experience a plus Required Skills: Financial analysis, Market knowledge, Analytical skills Important Skills: Microsoft Office Suite Nice-to-Have Skills: Professional maturity Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Benefits: Up to 83% subsidized medical payroll deductions, Competitive dental and vision benefits, 401(k) + match, Pre-tax transit and commuting benefits, A robust health and wellness program – earn cash rewards and gain access to resources that promote health, engagement, and balance, Paid maternity and parental leave, as well as other family paid leave programs, Company-paid life, short and long-term disability insurance, Health Savings Account and Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending, Career development opportunities, Empowerment and encouragement to give back – volunteer hours and donation matching
