Job Summary:
The Manager, Physical Security Systems and Innovation is responsible for leading and developing the Physical Security Technology Strategy. This includes identifying and implementing emerging technologies to support our Walgreens business and keep our customers and team members safe. They will also act as a critical liaison to our external partners as well as key stakeholders across the organization.

The Manager, Physical Security Systems and Innovation is responsible for leading and developing the Physical Security Technology Strategy. This includes identifying and implementing emerging technologies to support our Walgreens business and keep our customers and team members safe. They will also act as a critical liaison to our external partners as well as key stakeholders across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads and develops Asset Protection Physical Security Technology Strategy
- Maintains industry awareness of security products, services and technology trends for Walgreens Enterprise.
- Identifies, evaluates, recommends and implements emerging technologies to support Walgreens business (Retail & non retail)
- Acts as the liaison to internal IT resources including those dedicated to Asset Protection Solutions as well as those that intersect with major systems
- Manages the support and maintenance of the corporate security technology lab.
- Develops AP technology strategies and policies, assuring compliance throughout the system integrator network.
- Provides technical support for internal and external customers to include legal, Law Enforcement, Privacy, Data Governance, etc.
- Provides technical documentation in the form of system operator guides, system installation guides and training videos.
- Leverages current technology resources to ensure consistent, timely and effective response for all physical security incidents and system service requests.
- Leads and maintains Physical Security technology documentation and resource library.
- Leads and participates in functional and cross functional teams to meet objectives, improve processes, and increase customer satisfaction.
- Exhibits strategic thinking, collaboration and leadership skills in the execution of projects and\\or process improvements.
- Serves as the Physical Security technology liaison between Information Technology and Security Teams on complex system related projects and issues.
- Manages dedicated vendor system engineer(s) and manufacturer relationships, engages product design engineering teams to improve system efficiency and effectiveness for strategic alignment with the goals and objectives of the department.
- Leads the testing and deployment of all application upgrades and patches in strict accordance to corporate security policies and change management procedures.
- Serves as the system administrator of physical security systems including: system upgrades, system backups, report generation, system programming, system monitoring and user management. May require working after hours to provide support during major software upgrades, IT maintenance or other system maintenance as needed.
