Vylor is hiring for an Automation Supervisor in Szarvas!
The main goal of the Automation Supervisor position is to ensure that the machines and equipment operating in the seed plant function properly and are maintained from an electrical perspective, that the plant infrastructure remains continuously operational, and that the plant can meet the energy targets set by the company.
People Leadership
The position includes both direct and indirect reports.
Tasks
- Responsible for organizing and carrying out the maintenance and occasional repairs of the production machines and equipment owned by the seed plant (shellers, conveyor belts, threshers, roller screens, pre-cleaners, treaters, separator machines, packaging, palletizing, and wrapping machines, lifting machines, field machines, electrical switch cabinets, control cabinets, etc.). Responsible for coordinating, supervising, and documenting the daily work of colleagues working under direct supervision.
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the plant's infrastructural systems and tasked with maintaining contact and regular coordination with service companies.
- Responsible for the operation and continuous development of the company's energy system to ensure that the company complies with the applicable legal framework and achieves the energy objectives set by the company. (CO quota, climate protection regulation, etc.)
- Responsible for preparing, organizing, and conducting energy audits within the plant.
- Responsible for the implementation and operation of Safety Standards related to energy and electrical systems.
- Responsible for cost planning based on annual energy consumption and for continuously monitoring consumption data, as well as for updating and analyzing the data in the system.
- Responsible for ensuring the plant's electrical safety, compliance with standards, and lightning protection requirements.
- Responsible for organizing and coordinating the daily work of the electrical team in Szarvas, as well as for always performing and ensuring the execution of administration in the maintenance system.
Additional role-specific requirements
- Knowledge and adherence to the quality objectives and expectations of the Szarvas Seed Plant. In all areas of work, one is obliged to follow the quality and quantity goals set by Corteva and to meet these expectations.
- During his activities, he is responsible for the workforce under his supervision regarding performance, the quality of work, and occupational safety training.
- Immediate reporting of any irregularities identified during work to the supervisor responsible.
- Protecting the company’s assets and property.
- Complying with Corteva’s safety and fire protection regulations and adhering to all requirements related to the mandatory use of personal protective equipment during work.
- He/she is obliged to carry out all information related to the company that comes into his/her possession during the performance of tasks related to his/her job confidentially.
Required Education:
Mechanical Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, Electrical Engineer.
Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a similar position, working with a maintenance system, strong computer skills (MS Office, SAP), knowledge of the English language,
Required Physical Capabilities:
Ability to handle materials weighing 5–20 kg, perform prolonged desk work, work in front of a screen, and walk for extended periods.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong computer skills, organizational ability, leadership skills, maintaining teamwork. Accurate, precise work in administration. Must continuously train in their own field.
English Language Skills:
Communicative level of English, both spoken and written
