Founded in 1994, Pomona Capital is a global private equity sponsor investing through secondary and primary fund-of-funds strategies. With over $20 billion raised since inception, the firm presently invests through institutional secondary funds on behalf of over 300 institutional limited partners, separately managed accounts, and a registered investment fund for accredited investors seeking quarterly liquidity and simplified 1099 tax reporting. At present, Pomona’s New York team typically works in the office from Monday – Thursday, and remotely on Friday.
Job Description Summary
In support of its growth, Pomona recently established a New York-based Portfolio Insights team that is responsiblefordataintegrity andreconciliation, internalandexternalreporting, cashandNAVprojections, and the development of Pomona’s data lakehouse project and automation initiative, including process improvement and AI applications. The Associate will participate in these responsibilities and will report to the Senior Vice President. Further details are outlined below.
Reporting & Data Management
Prepare and maintain recurring internal reports and dashboards related to portfolio performance, exposure, pacing, and liquidity.
Support quarterly and ad hoc investor reporting packages, including IRR, TVPI, DPI, and cash flow summaries.
Aggregate and reconcile capital account data across fund investments, GP-led deals, and structured transactions.
Assist in the preparation of fund-level performance tracking and benchmarking materials.
Operational Support & Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with investment, IR, and technology teams to ensure alignment on portfolio data, fund metrics, and investor deliverables.
Participate in systems integration, data warehousing, and digital transformation initiatives.
Automation & Process Enhancement
Design and implement automated solutions to reduce manual processes in reporting, reconciliation, and data validation.
Collaborate with internal teams to migrate data into centralized platforms and enhance data accessibility (e.g., Power BI dashboards).
Maintain and enhance workflows that connect data sources such as Investran, eFront, and fund admin reports.
Build dynamic Excel models and reporting templates using VBA, Power Query, and/or Python.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in fund accounting, reporting, fund administration, or alternative asset operations.
Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, pivot tables, and complex formula design.
Preferred hands-on experience or demonstrated interest in automating reporting processes using Power BI, VBA, Python, or SQL.
Strong understanding of accounting, performance reporting, and private equity fund mechanics.
Detail-oriented with a strong ownership mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with significant attention to detail.
Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$115,000 to $140,000 USD
