Legal Counsel I- Commercial Transaction at Vizient, Inc in Irving, TX

In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor, managing complex commercial transactions and providing guidance on contracting matters while collaborating with various internal stakeholders. Responsibilities: - Provide legal support to Vizient’s Supply Chain business, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating procurement contracts - Collaborate with and provide counsel to internal stakeholders, including senior management and operational teams - Build relationships with business unit team members through an open and collaborative approach - Assist business teams in achieving the company’s goals and objectives in a legal and ethical manner - Work collaboratively with fellow legal team members to assist in all aspects of commercial transactions projects from structuring to completion, improve processes, share best practices, and generally promote a collegial working environment - Proactively identify legal and regulatory risks and trends and provide related advice Required Qualifications: - Juris Doctorate (JD) degree required - Admission to the bar in at least one state required - No prior experience required - Ability to effectively manage responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment - Excellent oral and written communication skills, and acute attention to detail - Ability to exercise independent judgment, and to work with and maintain confidential and sensitive information - Proven ability to take a proactive long-term view of business goals and objectives to achieve strategic business results Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working as legal counsel in a law firm and/or in-house legal counsel preferred - Extensive knowledge and negotiation experience working with complex commercial transactions and general contracting matters Required Skills: Legal counsel, Commercial transactions negotiation, Contract drafting, Contract review, Procurement contracts, Legal risk management, Regulatory compliance Benefits: This position is also incentive eligible., Vizient has a comprehensive benefits plan!
