Summary: Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components. They are seeking a Quality Engineer Intern to support the development of robust quality systems and improve the efficiency of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Responsibilities: - Develop a strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), IATF16949, and PPAP requirements - Assist in automating and optimizing the PPAP process to improve efficiency and accuracy - Prepare and structure PPAP data for seamless integration into new software systems - Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and quality teams to ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and International Quality Standards - Other development may include conducting measuring system analysis, maintenance of pFMEAs, and supporting customer complaint investigations using the 8D problem-solving methodology Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in a two- or four-year college/university - Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or Computing Science emphasis - Predominant focus in troubleshooting, problem solving and continuous improvement - Extensive computer knowledge, including the use of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Power Point - This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.
