Position: Cisco DNAC Wireless L2+ Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cisco DNAC Wireless L2 Engineer with strong

expertise in enterprise wireless infrastructure, Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNAC),

SDA, and large-scale network troubleshooting. The candidate will be responsible for

designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting wireless and campus network

environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise wireless infrastructure based on Cisco

technologies.

• Handle L2+ escalations for wireless, LAN, and DNAC-related incidents.
• Troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst Center / DNAC environments.
• Configure and manage:
• Cisco WLCs (9800 series preferred)
• Cisco Access Points
• Cisco ISE integration
• SD-Access (SDA)
• Assurance and AI analytics
• Perform wireless health analysis, RF optimization, and coverage troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot issues related to:
• Client onboarding
• Roaming
• Authentication
• DHCP/DNS
• RF interference
• Application visibility
• Work on automation and provisioning using DNAC workflows and templates.
• Perform software upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
• Coordinate with OEM TAC teams and internal stakeholders during major

incidents.

• Participate in design reviews, migration activities, and infrastructure

transformation projects.

• Prepare HLD/LLD, SOPs, RCA, and operational documentation.
• Ensure adherence to security and operational standards.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Cisco Catalyst Center / DNAC
• Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (9800 preferred)
• Cisco ISE
• Cisco Catalyst switches
• SD-Access Architecture
• Good understanding of:
• Routing & Switching
• VLANs, STP, HSRP, OSPF, BGP
• DHCP, DNS, AAA
• TCP/IP and packet analysis
• Experience with wireless survey and RF troubleshooting tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.

Preferred Certifications

• Cisco Systems Certified:
• CCNP Enterprise
• Cisco DNAC/SDA certifications are an advantage

Experience

• 6-9 years of overall networking experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Cisco DNAC and enterprise

wireless environments.

Good to Have

• Experience in large enterprise or managed services environments.
• Exposure to Aruba or Juniper wireless solutions.

• Experience handling customer-facing roles and critical escalations.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in 24x7 support environments if required.
• Good documentation and presentation capabilities.
• Ability to mentor L1/L2 engineers and drive operational excellence.
