Job Description
Summary: Vinfen is a nonprofit health and human services organization providing community-based services to individuals with mental health conditions, intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and behavioral health challenges. The Job Coach I supports individuals in achieving career goals, developing workplace skills, overcoming barriers, and gaining independence. The role includes providing hands-on coaching, monitoring employment progress, collaborating with employers and support networks, and managing daily operations in employment settings.
Responsibilities:
- Support their career goals
- Help people strengthen their confidence
- Help job seekers gain skills that will help them succeed on the job
- Help people take pride in their work and achieve greater independence within their community
- Work together with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform their lives
- Coach people individually or in group settings
- Monitor individuals work progress and the effectiveness of various employment and vocational programs
- Travel to various work sites in the community to provide hands-on support to both employers and people we serve at their jobs
- Act as a role model who demonstrates appropriate social interactions with employers and the public
- Track daily progress and achievement of individuals' employment goals
- Manage the daily operations at a program, facility, or community employment setting
