Description

Responsible for washing, drying, folding, and distributing clean laundry, including residents’ clothing, linens, and towels. Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary laundry area while ensuring residents have an adequate supply of clean laundry.

Duties

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry.

• Separate items requiring special stain treatment.

• Count, stack, hang, and deliver clean clothing, linens, and towels.

• Clean and maintain laundry areas, floors, walls, and equipment.

• Properly dispose of trash and follow cleaning and safety procedures.

• Operate and care for laundry equipment and supplies.

• Follow facility policies and instructions from supervisors.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Specifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to work independently and accept constructive feedback.

• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Ability to move throughout the workday.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry and supplies weighing at least 25 pounds.

• Ability to lift items to a height of 5 feet and move them at least 50 feet.
