Summary: VHB’s Tampa, FL office is looking for a talented intern to join their team for Summer 2026 to support various engineering and planning teams. The intern program aims to provide real-world experience while helping participants explore different areas of practice in civil engineering. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner - Assist in development of planning and engineering solutions - Assist in data mining and visualization - Perform analysis of data or calculations - Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities - Prepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, urban planning, landscape architecture, environmental science, GIS, or a related field - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Team oriented with strong capability to work independently - Self-motivated with attention to detail - A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve - Knowledge of drawing and mapping tools such as AutoCAD and GIS - Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required Required Skills: AutoCAD, GIS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Best-in-class benefits, Flexible, hybrid work environment
