Summary: Veterans United Insurance is dedicated to helping Veterans and military families become homeowners. As a Loan Specialist, you will guide borrowers through the VA loan process, ensuring they feel informed and confident while contributing to a successful partnership. Responsibilities: - Engaging with borrowers, understanding their goals, and providing expert guidance to ensure they feel informed, confident, and ready to move forward - Running their credit through an online system and helping them find the right loan for their situation - Walking borrowers through the loan process, explaining everything clearly, and helping them get the right rates and terms - Handling all the paperwork and keeping the borrower’s file on track until the loan is officially closed - Contributing to the team’s success by jumping in wherever you’re needed - Collaboration with internal and external parties is critical to this role Required Qualifications: - Translatable skills and relevant expertise - NMLS licensed (can be obtained when starting) - Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills - Integrity in every interaction - Persistence in demanding environments - Collaboration and teamwork skills - Self-driven and goal-oriented - Problem-solving skills - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: - Background in sales, business development, hospitality, or retail - Mortgage experience (not a necessity) Required Skills: NMLS License, Credit Running, Loan Process Knowledge Benefits: $500 sign-on bonus, $1000 upon passing your SAFE exam, Flex Loan Specialists Have a Schedule Outside Of Normal Business Hours.
