Position Title: Research Project Coordinator

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, variable hours between 8:00am to 4:30pm

Salary: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour Non Exempt

· Expert scientific knowledge and skill.

· Independent judgement, discretion, initiative and decision making.

· Works with minimal collaboration with Principal Investigator.

· Responsible for the work of a laboratory or research project(s).

· Writes articles for publication in scientific journals or for presentations at conferences.

· Independently performs research activities in a research laboratory and/or on research projects.

· Develops or executes Standard Operating Procedures for large research endeavors.

· Manages research staff daily to ensure high quality work.

· Interfaces with referral sources to maintain participant flow.

· Monitors adherence to the protocol and identifies deviations.

· Reports study activities to the Principal Investigator (PI), DSMB, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) as needed.

· Assures high standards in data management, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.

· Complies with safety and security policies and procedures

· Reports potentially unsafe conditions

· Works well with others

May perform additional duties as required

Requirements

GRADUATE or POST GRADUATE DEGREE, AND Preferred -Doctoral degree (PhD or MD) in related field and at least 2 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
