Job Description
Summary: Vertiv is a global leader in designing, manufacturing, and servicing products that keep the world connected. They are seeking a Data and Analytics Intern for Summer 2026 to support operations management by building data structures and analyzing key performance indicators.
Responsibilities:
- Build data structure and data lake intake method to support future analytics tools use at a growing Fortune 500 company
- Collaborate with team members to identify inefficiencies in operational processes and propose solutions for improvement
- Collect, analyze, and present data related to key performance indictors (KPIs) and operational metrics. Prepare reports to track progress and identify trends
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to operational processes, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Proficiency in Python, including experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or similar data manipulation tools
- Foundational understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar data pipeline tools
- Experience with Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level (data validation, structured tables, named ranges, or form design)
- Exposure to data intake or form-based data collection workflows
- Basic understanding of data governance concepts (data quality, documentation, lineage)
- Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, or other Microsoft 365 tools
- Comfort working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional stakeholders
