Lead Java Developer at Vertere Global Solutions Inc. in Makati

We are looking for a Java Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in both backend and frontend development, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to mentor a team while delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing Java applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver business requirements.
• Develop and maintain both backend services and frontend applications.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and software design principles.
• Provide technical guidance, resolve complex technical issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Participate in solution architecture, technical design discussions, and technology evaluations.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous process improvement.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java application development.
• At least 1 year of experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating a software development team.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and RESTful API development.
• Experience in both backend and frontend development, with proficiency in React or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, software architecture, and microservices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

Pay: Php150,000.00 - Php160,000.00 per month
