Job Purpose
To ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts and provide end‑to‑end support for internal and external audits by maintaining reliable financial records, coordinating with auditors, and ensuring timely closure of audit requirements in compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
A. Maintenance of Books of Accounts
Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts, including general ledger and sub‑ledgers
Record day‑to‑day accounting transactions such as receipts, payments, journal entries, and accruals
Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
Perform regular bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations
Ensure proper classification of expenses, income, assets, and liabilities
Prepare trial balances and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation
Ensure proper documentation, filing, and record retention
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal controls
B. Audit Support & Coordination
Act as a key liaison between management and internal/statutory auditors
Prepare and provide audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documents
Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits (as applicable)
Respond to audit queries and provide timely explanations and documentation
Track audit observations and support closure of audit findings
Assist in implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions
Maintain audit working files and audit correspondence records
Support management in audit planning and compliance reviews
qualifications
CA Final (Finance) – preferred
Experience
2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and audit coordination roles
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of accounting principles and audit processes
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Good working knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements
Strong MS Excel skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
