People Manager
Location: Krakow, Malopolskie, Poland
Verisk’s Data Products, Risk Analyzer, Reinsurance, and Electronic Rating Content (ERC) teams support the insurance industry across the full risk management lifecycle. By combining market-leading data, predictive analytics, digital rating content, and reinsurance solutions, these teams help insurers assess risk more accurately, make informed underwriting and pricing decisions, maintain regulatory compliance, and manage complex portfolio exposures.
As a People Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing four teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic priorities. You will support employees in understanding their roles and how their work contributes to broader team and organizational objectives. A key part of the role is driving performance through clear goal setting, ongoing coaching, and delivery oversight, while ensuring high-quality outcomes across all teams.
Lead and manage analytics teams, ensuring alignment with business strategy and delivery of high-impact insights
Coach and mentor junior team lead and analysts to support their development in leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement.
Oversee project execution and resource planning, ensuring timely delivery, optimal team utilization, and continuous improvement.
Define hiring, training, and development plans to build and maintain high-performing teams.
Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to set team goals and ensure timely execution with expected quality standards.
Maintain open and effective communication with other departments and senior management.
Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and team productivity.
Develop a strong understanding of the U.S. P&C Insurance markets, policy programs, and pricing models.
Support the design and development of new data analysis tools to expand team capabilities.
Ensure alignment of team efforts with business needs and client requirements.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement of analytics capabilities.
5+ years of proven work experience in an international environment related to data analysis / data quality assurance / process analysis or equivalent, including at least 3 years in leadership or managerial role.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Strong expertise in team and project management, with a track record of delivering complex analytics initiatives.
Advanced strategic planning and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams toward business-aligned outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to align team objectives with broader business strategies, driving measurable impact.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical challenges into clear business value.
Strong ability to drive operational efficiency and improve team performance.
Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
