Senior Director, Product Management
Location: Loveland, Colorado, United States
Position Summary:
This is an important senior leader within Hach and a key member of the Product Management leadership team. The Senior Director is responsible for leading the team to develop and execute on on the global product management strategy for the assigned product lines. The Senior Director leads, mentors and coaches the team to ensure their career growth, development and ultimately their success.
The Senior Director collaborates with other functions (sales, innovation, service) using deep customer knowledge and market insights to develop, deploy and sustain portfolio growth.
This position will develop a network based on credibility, quality solutions, and driving initiatives that make an impactful difference in our overall growth.
Key responsibilities:
Strategy: Provide clear vision, coaching and mentorship to team. Lead the development and execution of the global strategy for portfolio growth showing clear linkage between customer needs and global market trends.
Core Growth: Accountable for overall success of assigned product lines including achievement of revenue, margin, growth, and quality metrics.
Leadership: Build and develop a highly engaged, high-performing, customer-oriented organization. Motivate team to perform at their highest levels.
Portfolio Management: Achieve goals beyond just revenue achievement to include Share Gain and Margin Expansion.
Open Innovation & Acquisitions: Identify and engage strategic partners to accelerate Hach’s global product and business strategies. Identify and establish relationships and partnerships based on Product Road requirements with external organizations (e.g. technology firms, universities, start-ups, etc); contribute to contract development, drive successful commercialization and achieve profitable growth for both Hach and the partner. Identify and cultivate acquisition targets aligned with Hach’s long-term growth strategy; engage when necessary in diligence, acquisition transactions and integration of target companies
Veralto Enterprise System Champion VES throughout the team to ensure systematic sustainable growth.
Commercial Excellence: Partner with Regional commercial teams to demonstrate new and higher standards for well-executed new product introductions and commercial tactics to drive growth for existing products.
Innovation: Influence New Product Development (NPD) roadmap decisions and product definitions through market driven insight. Ensure Lab portfolio is up-to-date, including product feature updates and potential digital connectivity strategies. Collaborate with R&D (Engineering) counterparts to ensure successful execution of projects.
Portfolio Rationalization: Develop a strategic rationalized portfolio of products within the product line, including growth, margin improvement and lifecycle related initiatives.
Collaboration: Manage relationships, deliverables, and expectations while leveraging the expertise of various business units and functions across Hach and Veralto. This involves coordinating efforts, ensuring effective communication, and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve common goals and drive success.
Education and Background
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience; product management/ commercial experience preferred.
Strong critical thinking skills: ability to synthesize a collection of facts into logical and actionable conclusions.
Strong written and oral communication skills for direct communication with customers, colleagues, and partners at all levels and across all functions and regions of the organization.
Able to elicit and understand customer needs and translate customer needs into product requirements.
Able to identify and prioritize the tasks necessary to meet long- and short-term objectives, effectively manage time and multi-task to achieve these objectives.
Skill Requirements

Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time; both domestic and international travel is required.
Fluent in English.
The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $260,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.

An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $200,000.00 - $260,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
