Intern - Accounting at VEIT in Rogers, MN

Summary: Veit Management, Inc is one of the country’s leading specialty contractors with nearly a century of experience. They are seeking an Accounting Intern who will assist with various projects within the accounting department, including account reconciliations and financial statement reports. Responsibilities: - Prepares and enters general journal and job cost adjustment entries - Creates account reconciliation templates for all balance sheet accounts for all Veit Entities and completes the reconciliations - Updates/creates financial statement reports in Excel - Keeps supervisor informed of known actions, which may affect the ability to successfully perform assignments or adversely affect company operations - Other projects or duties as assigned by management Required Qualifications: - Minimum of 1 year education working toward completion of Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, or related area of study - Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must clearly communicate directions and information to all levels of management, employees, vendors, and business associates. Speaks effectively before groups as well as individuals.
