Job Description
Summary: Vantage Data Centers is a leading provider of data center solutions, and they are seeking an OT Cybersecurity Intern to support their global Cybersecurity team. This role involves assisting with monitoring security alerts, vulnerability management, and documentation, while gaining hands-on experience in a mission-critical data center environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support analysis and initial triage of cybersecurity alerts and incidents affecting OT and ICS environments, assisting with impact and severity determination
- Assist with OT vulnerability management activities, including asset tracking, documentation, and remediation coordination
- Support secure deployment of OT‑related cybersecurity hardware, software, and tools at new and existing sites
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of OT cybersecurity documentation, including procedures, standards, job aids, and diagrams
- Assist with monitoring compliance to cybersecurity policies, standards, and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO)
- Participate in post‑incident reviews and lessons‑learned activities to support continuous improvement
- Collaborate with OT, IT, Engineering, Facilities, and Operations teams to support secure and reliable operations
- Conduct research on cybersecurity solutions and emerging OT security risks and document findings
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in, or recent graduate of, a degree program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity, networking, automation, or industrial systems
- Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity concepts and networking principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of OT / ICS environments and the differences between OT, IT, and cybersecurity control models
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800‑53, NIST SP 800‑82, or ISO 27001
- Experience creating SOPs, job aids, or technical documentation
- Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase overtime as business evolves
