HSE Intern (Summer 2026) at Valeo in Reno, NV

Summary: Valeo is a global high-tech company that designs revolutionary solutions to reinvent mobility. As an HSE Intern, you will assist with ensuring compliance of safety and security equipment and help establish Health, Safety, Security and Environment procedures. Responsibilities: - You will ensure that all requirements of Valeo Group are identified, established and implemented - You will carry out risk analysis and monitor regulatory survey - You will carry out inspections and internal audits, make recommendations and specify corresponding actions as well as the responsibility for implementing it - You will assist in implementing and monitoring action relating to the handling of any non-compliance revealed by the inspections, internal audits and external audits, taking the necessary investments into account - You will update and complete Safety Data sheets, plus ergonomic and PPE assessments - You will review and update Safety and Environmental work instructions Required Qualifications: - You should be a current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an environmental or occupational safety related field (i.e. Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field) OR a recent graduate April/May 2025 graduate of one of these types of programs Preferred Qualifications: - You preferably have completed classes in equipment lockout/tagout, chemical safety, and OSHA/EPA Required Skills: Risk analysis, Chemical safety, OSHA/EPA knowledge Important Skills: Safety Data Sheets, Environmental Engineering Nice-to-Have Skills: Soft skills Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
