Position Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Washington, DC (Locals Only)

Duration: 6 Months+

Tasks

1.     Provide End to End Automation of Environment Provisioning and Process improvements leveraging DEVOPS and IAAS methodologies
   

2.     Provide hands-on technical support for the Configuration and Build of Test and Production environments
   

3.     Perform analysis of the design, requirements and develop Infrastructure/environment specifications
   

4.     Provide EM support for FEPOC SOW’s and Project initiatives
   

5.     Perform full system life-cycle activities in support of the project and backfill for the Environment Management engineers to work on other initiatives. These activities will be assigned by the Environment management team needs.
   

6.     Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, problem analysis and resolution.
   

7.     Coordinate tasks across multi-platforms and cross functional teams.
   

8.     Analyze and recommend improvements to support Environment Management initiatives.
   

9.     Provide timely Production Environment and Infrastructure support.
   

10.   Support the maintenance of current (Test/Production) environments and infrastructure.
    

11.   Create all necessary documents and communicate to Stakeholders.
    

12.   Conduct training and knowledge transfer.
    

Skills Required

1.     Infrastructure Engineer with a minimum of 8 plus years’ Hands-on experience.
   

2.     Building robust Middleware environments 
   

3.     Scripting and process Automation experience Required
   

4.     Extensive knowledge of Java/J2EE methodology and frameworks
   

5.     Extensive UNIX AIX and Scripting experience
   

6.     Extensive knowledge of WebSphere MQ
   

7.     Extensive knowledge of  MQ Series
   

8.     Extensive SDLC experience with some development or Systems programming experience
   

9.     Ability to analyze and trouble-shoot Mid-tier/infrastructure issues.
   

10.   Very strong verbal and written communication skills (Critical)
    

11.   Ability to facilitate technical requirements gathering and design sessions
    

12.   Collaborate and interpret business and technical needs
    

13.   Excellent attention to detail and quality work products (Critical)
    

14.   Strong customer service skills with internal and external customers (Critical)
    

15.   Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision (Critical)
    

16.   Strong analytical and documentation skills
    

17.   Excellent time management ability. (Critical)
