Job Description
Summary: US Tiger Securities, Inc. is a financial services company seeking a Business Analyst Intern to support their teams in operational and product improvements. The role involves data analysis, process documentation, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive informed decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements from internal stakeholders across operations, product, and technology teams
- Translate business needs into clear documentation, including process flows, user stories, and functional specifications
- Analyze workflows and data to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Collect, clean, and analyze data to support business decisions and measure process performance
- Build reports and data visualizations that communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Support competitor and market research, benchmarking the firm's processes and offerings against industry standards
- Support project coordination, including tracking deliverables, documenting meeting outcomes, and following up on action items
- Assist with quality assurance testing of new features and process changes, identifying issues and validating fixes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product launches, process rollouts, and operational initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in progress or completed in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Effective communicator capable of conveying analytical concepts to diverse audiences
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple workstreams with strong time management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interest in financial markets, fintech, and brokerage operations
- Exposure to SQL, Python, or VBA for data analysis and automation
- Familiarity with business analysis tools, process mapping, or data visualization platforms
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus, as the role may involve communication with Mandarin-speaking parties or Chinese-language documentation
