Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Supply Planner to manage end-to-end production and supply planning for a leading biscuit manufacturing organization in Zambia.

The role will be responsible for ensuring the availability of raw materials and packaging materials, optimizing inventory levels, aligning production schedules with demand, and supporting the timely availability of finished goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production and supply plans aligned with demand, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity.
• Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules across multiple production lines.
• Plan and monitor requirements for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Sales, and other relevant functions to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages, excess inventory, and supply constraints.
• Manage planning across multiple SKUs and production lines, ensuring optimum utilization of available capacity.
• Track production performance against planned schedules and take corrective actions for deviations.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support production and finished goods requirements.
• Maintain accurate planning data, inventory records, and relevant MIS/reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory efficiency, production planning accuracy, and supply reliability.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Production Planning, Supply Planning, Material Planning, or Inventory Planning.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, bakery, or biscuit manufacturing is preferred.
• Biscuit manufacturing experience will be highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience managing:
• Multiple production lines
• Multiple SKUs
• Raw materials
• Packaging materials
• Finished goods inventory
• Daily production schedules
• Strong understanding of inventory management, production planning, material requirements, and supply chain coordination.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Candidates with international / African manufacturing exposure will be considered an advantage.
