Summary: The University of Washington is looking for a Full-Time Research Study Assistant to support clinical and translational research focused on neurodegenerative diseases. The role involves participant recruitment, data collection, and maintaining study records while ensuring adherence to study protocols. Responsibilities: - Screen, consent, and enroll eligible participants in accordance with research study protocols - Gather, record, organize, transcribe, and verify the accuracy of research study data in accordance with study protocols - Maintain and update research databases and study records - Process biological specimens in accordance with laboratory guidelines and research study protocols - Assist in retrieving medication under the direction of a health care practitioner; maintain accurate drug accountability records - Extract technical, medical and/or behavioral information from institution or clinical records of research subjects - Perform other related duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience - Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration - Proficiency in REDCap or similar research data capture systems - Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., Epic) - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based research environment - Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy - Experience working with human subjects in a clinical and/or research setting - Experience with specimen handling or laboratory procedures Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related field Required Skills: REDCap, Electronic medical records, Epic, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Specimen handling, Laboratory procedures, Human subjects research
