Summary: The University of Southern California is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with a background in bioinformatics, cancer biology, epigenomics, immunology, or metabolism to join their NIH-funded laboratory. Responsibilities: - Lead projects, from designing projects, conducting experiments, performing analyses, producing manuscripts - Participate in all laboratory activities for the purpose of enhancing and developing research competencies - Participate in planning, designing and conducting highly technical and complex research projects under the direction of my supervision - Analyze research data and provides interpretations - Contribute to the development of research documentation for publication and/or prepares technical reports, papers and/or records Required Qualifications: - Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate within previous five years - 0-1 year of experience - Directly related education in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures and analysis methods - Background in either bioinformatics, cancer biology, epigenomics, immunology, or metabolism - Ability to design projects, conduct experiments, perform analyses, and produce manuscripts - Participation in planning, designing and conducting highly technical and complex research projects - Ability to analyze research data and provide interpretations - Contribute to the development of research documentation for publication and/or prepare technical reports, papers and/or records - A copy of the doctoral diploma or other certification that indicates that the terminal degree has been completed satisfactorily or evidence that a thesis has been approved with an expected date of formal graduation Preferred Qualifications: - Publications in peer-reviewed journals in the same or related field Required Skills: Bioinformatics, Cancer Biology, Epigenomics, Immunology, Metabolism Important Skills: Research Documentation Nice-to-Have Skills: Data Analysis, Project Management Benefits: Robust healthcare coverage, Retirement planning resources
