Job Description
Summary: The University of Southern California is a leader in neuroimaging and informatics research, seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar – Research Associate to investigate neuronal cell types impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. The role involves performing MERFISH spatial transcriptomics experiments and developing innovative tools for translating research into clinical treatments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MERFISH spatial transcriptomics experiments using the lab’s state-of-the-art MERSCOPE platform in mouse and post-mortem human tissue samples
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum education: PhD or equivalent doctorate within previous three years
- Minimum experience: 0-1 year
- Analysis, assessment/evaluation, communication - written and oral skills, organization, planning, problem identification and resolution, project management, research
- Minimum field of expertise: Directly related education in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures and analysis methods
Preferred Qualifications:
