Job Description
Summary: The University of Pennsylvania is a prestigious institution known for its leadership in education and research. The Clinical Research Coordinator A will provide research support for various projects, including a pilot trial for a decision-making tool for patients with misophonia, while also supporting clinical operations in a pediatric anxiety treatment program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide research support across several grant and clinically-funded projects
- Coordinate and support the development of study materials
- Recruit and consent participants
- Collect and enter quantitative and qualitative data
- Create and maintain databases
- Prepare and submit IRB documents
- Support ongoing clinical operations within a community mental health pediatric anxiety treatment program
- Coordinate foundation-funded program expansion related to selective mutism programming and quality improvement efforts
- Assist with maintaining and nurturing positive working relationships with research collaborators, study participants, and families seeking mental health services for anxiety and related disorders
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in psychology or related health field with 1-2 years' experience
- Outstanding organizational skills are essential
- Exquisite attention to detail; the ability to manage multiple responsibilities including daily tasks and planning for longer-term projects
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, particularly given the community partnered and patient-facing aspect of this work
- The ability to work both autonomously and within a team
- Individual must be comfortable communicating with diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in community mental health centers, interacting with children and families, and/or experience in implementation science
- Previous experience in a research environment
- Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Office suite, databases (SPSS), and online survey software (REDCap)
